This is an experiential workshop brought to you by an experienced art therapist based in U.K. In the workshop he would facilitate us to explore our relationship with the realm of feelings and expressive art. Basic theoretical concepts will be explained by the facilitator throughout the workshop with emphasis on art therapy's healing aspects for adults and children.
Various art materials and medium such as clay modeling and pastel on paper will be used to draw out the inner processes of sensation, imagination and the mind; much like how a client will experience during an art therapy session.
WHO should attend: teachers, educators, counsellors, social workers, psychologists, parents.
BENEFITS:
• Gain a basic and overall understanding of principles of
art therapy and its uses
• Learn to use one's own creative potential to express emotions, reflect upon this expression and consider application of a
change (thought and/or behavioural) if required.
• Learn to use art as a tool in various professional and
social settings
